Update API controllers

• Update methods of API controllers with new, currently only for the web-app implemented methods (e.g., /maps, ...)
• Update API doc for changed methods (e.g., /verify)

The preferences endpoints are still undocumented and untested (although we currently don't use them in our clients), but the rest is ✅️
