EDDI crashes CTD when calling IVONA Voices

What's Wrong (please be as specific as possible)

I have the problem that VA and EDDI crash when I randomly select TTS voices.
In VA, I can use voices from Ivona 2 Hans OEM and Ivona 2 Marlene OEM (German) without any problems.
This used to work in EDDI as well.
After an EDDI update, these voices no longer work.
I then switched to ‘Vocalizer Anna von Harpo’ in EDDI.
So far, so good! But now EDDI randomly calls up voices that are installed on the PC
and then crashes VA and EDDI (CTD).
Unfortunately, I cannot restrict or specifically select voices in EDDI!
Or am I overlooking something?
The Ivona voices are still being used in VA!

Hi there! Unfortunately, whatever bug is occurring seems to be occurring in a parent context (VoiceAttack or Windows) and isn't being logged by EDDI. The EDDI logs just show an abrupt unexplained stop.

Does the problem also occur when EDDI is being run in standalone mode rather than a VoiceAttack plugin? If so, perhaps we'd see more in those .log files?

I'd suggest checking VoiceAttackFault.txt and the Windows Event Viewer for additional clues about what might be failing.

Hi, i only use EDDI as Plugin, to stop the talking.. all Voices in EDDi are changed so it can run properly!
VA runs properly with all Voices.
The Crash is When Sqadroon Messages come in ... and EDDi takes a random Voice...
To set The alternating of Voices to off or one specific Voice may help me a lot

If you know exactly which voices have this problem then you can edit the Message received script to exclude those voices. Here's the code snippet you'd want to edit:

I think you will need to wrap those additional names in quotes. For example:

]}

I apologize for not finding a better resolution to this issue but whatever is happening is catastrophic enough that the normal logic for catching and recording the issue at EDDI's level simply isn't capturing any data about this issue. My guess is that an exception is being thrown within the operating system's speech synthesizer itself.

It would also be helpful if you can confirm whether the crash occurs when running EDDI as a standalone application rather than as a VoiceAttack plugin.
