This is my environment:
- MPC-HC v1.6.7.7114 (no installer)
- AC3File v0.7b
- AC3Filter v2.6.0b
- In MPC-HC: include "AC3Filter" as external filter and set it to "preferred"
- In MPC-HC: Use internal audio switcher
When watching movies, I often have this situation in a specific movies folder:
- 1 MKV file, containing a single video stream, e.g. "movie.mkv"
- 2 DTS files, containing english/german audio track,
e.g. "movie.english.dts" or "movie.german.dts"
What I do:
- Just double click the MKV file
What is the expected output?
- MPC-HC opens and starts playing back the movie with the first audio track
What do you see instead?
1. An error message from Visual C++ Runtime Library
2. An error message from Windows/MPC-HC, saying it (MPC-HC) has stopped working
(see sample screenshots; copied from the internet)
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
AC3Filter v2.6.0b on Windows 7 x64 SP1
Please provide any additional information below.
When I remove AC3Filter from the list of external filters in MPC-HC, it works.
When I include it again, the stuff crashes again.
When I remove one DTS file (so there is only one left with the MKV), it works.
When I put the second DTS back in that folder, the error messages and crashes
reappear.
When I install version 2.5.0b there are no crashes. While it works, there's
still a minor problem. The playback hangs at time 00:00. I have to click the
seek bar in order to make it play. Then it works. This problem also only
occures, when there is more than one DTS file present.
Going back further to version 2.4a, none of the described problems occur.
All Viusal C++ Runtimes (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012) are installed.
