What steps will reproduce the problem?
When you select MPEG Audio in "SPDIF/SPDIF passthrough" not only MPEG-1/2 Audio
Layer 2 is transmited passthrought SPDIF but MPEG-1/2 Audio Layer 3 (mp3) as
well. My receiver can decode MPEG Audio but only Layer 2 (Layer 3 gives the
silence). Because mp3 can be VBR I don't know is it even possible to
passthrought SPDIF?
Solution:
Validate is it posible to transmit mp3 passthrought SPDIF
- if yes, add some option to select separately each Layer 1/2/3
- if not, don't passthrought mp3 over SPDIF
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
