BigNoteBox v1.21.0: new toasts, alarms as toasts and your note on the target frame

v1.21.0 is out. The highlights:

New toasts

Situation notes now pop up as toasts in the style of the game's loot toasts, Horde or Alliance by your faction (or Plain black, Skin colour, or the other faction). One toast per note, stacked in the direction you pick, each with its own timer; point at them to pause. A toast shows the note's icon, why it showed ("Thrall is here", "Vendor open"), the note's first line and a map pin when it has a waypoint. Right-click a toast to open the note, open it as a sticky, navigate, or skip it for today.

Toasts are a module of their own in Settings > Modules > Toasts, with a switch for each kind, a sound if you want one, and a choice for what happens in combat. Each note can have its own toast style and time on screen.

Alarms as toasts

Alarms can show as toasts instead of the alarm window (Settings > Modules > Alarms). Alarms you missed while offline or in combat now come as toasts too. 11 new alarm and toast sounds.

Your note on the target frame

When the player or NPC you target or focus has a note, the note's icon shows at the corner of the Target and Focus frame portraits. Click it to open the note.

A fresh look

• New icons for the toolbars and the note list, with a soft hover glow
• Skin mode: scrollbars, sliders, dropdowns, checkboxes and selected cards take the skin's colours
• Less gold everywhere: headings take one colour, labels and setting names are white
• The skin options in Settings > Appearance only show while skin mode is on

Also new

• The Reference Box window is three parts that follow their own modules: attachments, the player / NPC model, and tasks
• The quest, gossip and book window button is now called Note Capture
• Developer tools are a page in Settings > Advanced

Fixed

• The move cursor no longer sticks after moving from the main window's top bar into the window
• Skin mode: divider lines, icon buttons and greyed-out buttons behave at high skin brightness

BigNoteBox v1.21.1 (fix release)

Fixed

• The game no longer crashes to desktop when you make or open a note of an NPC while the Reference Box is open.

Change

• NPC notes show their note icon instead of the creature's portrait (the portrait was part of that crash).
