Chat platform (Matrix, Discord, irc)?

Hi,

I suggest creating a Chat platform (Matrix, Discord, irc) for Fladder. I think Matrix is generally preferred.

Often I have something niche to discuss/ask about Fladder, but don't feel like it's worth opening an issue/discussion.

I think a Chat also helps reducing the bloat on Issues and Discussions. Perhaps even replacing Discussions.

The main reason for me to not do this is that it's another thing I would have to moderate. The project itself already takes up significant portion of free time. So not sure I want another thing I would have to look after.

But I get the sentiment, discussing things via githubs discussions is probably not the easiest for most people.

Matrix exposes and replicates large amounts of user relationship and activity metadata across servers. While this issue may feel minor on a public server, it's still a Matrix design flaw that the team hasn't fixed despite being able to. It might be worth considering other options instead.
