I would like to see this feature aswell, coolify has both traefik and caddy. In my opinion Caddy is a little more easy to work with in a docker swarm than traefik is, traefik is a pain with sharing TLS certificates without having the Enterprise edition. Caddy supports this out of the box.

Not sure what the "even" insinuates here.
And the "doesn't recommend" isn't quite what it says.
They are just only testing with traefik and can't/won't support more.

FWIW I personally had my share of frustrations with traefik and try to stay away from it if possible. It was super awkward to debug and configure. But they had quite some more releases since.

Plus there is a reason given in this issue.

Quite simple: traefik is a way more complex to manage and I had also my fair share of it. Caddy has more built in stuff and only work with it. Caddy on coolify works perfectly well.

Traefik keeps failing to pick up on added domains for me and just returns 404 until I trigger an app deployment again. Traefiks access logs are enabled, yet still empty. Had the same troubles running traefik locally already.

Caddy would be a vastly superior alternativ, traefik's docker routing is a security nightmare anyhow and caddy works and reloads reliably.

+1 for this. I'm running 3 VPSs behind a Load Balancer and cant get SSL certs because of this
