That way you can easier present data, and trigger functionality with forms and buttons + you can utilize a framework for easily storing data in a database instead.

You could use [Django](https://www.djangoproject.com/), and combine it with [Celery](https://docs.celeryproject.org/en/stable/django/first-steps-with-django.html) to run periodical tasks.
