Upper case macros not showing actual output

Lower case characters display the character that would be typed in the current layout. This is not true for upper case macros.
Example: If I select key e, it correctly shows up as . in my layout, but if I select E, it shows up as E instead of <.
This makes my layout in the DeviceManager not mirror what comes out when typing.

The upper letters here should be < and >, instead of W and E.

Upper characters should mirror the lower ones here. (Starting from a => A)
In my current keyboard layout, the only characters that are correct on the ASCII Macros row is the !, A and M, by pure accident.
