Welcome to TankControl, an independent, open-source macOS driver and control utility suite developed by Atelier Minuit for the HP Smart Tank 500 series (0x03F0:0x2B54).

🎯 Project Philosophy

1. Local-First & Zero Telemetry: TankControl contains zero background trackers, zero analytics, and requires no cloud account or HP Smart registration.
2. Apple Silicon Native: All components (C99 raster filters, USB scanner helpers, and SwiftUI interface) are natively compiled for arm64 (M1/M2/M3/M4) and link against @rpath/libusb.
3. Hardware Honesty: Actual physical state reporting without synthetic data, giving you direct control over maintenance, cleaning, alignment, and ink saving.

💡 Tips for First-Time Setup on macOS Sequoia / Sonoma

1. Download HP_Smart_Tank_500_macOS_Instalador.dmg from Releases.
2. Install Instalador HP Smart Tank 500.pkg to register the CUPS filter and ColorSync profiles.
3. If macOS Gatekeeper presents an unverified developer prompt, right-click TankControl.app and choose Open, or run:

   xattr -cr /Applications/TankControl.app
