Codeman 1.44.0 is out, and it's a big one: 16 PRs from six contributors. The headline is that your setup is now backed up by default, and an idle Claude session can keep its prompt cache warm so you don't pay to re-read the whole conversation after a lunch break.
Config backups. @opticon454 built this over ten review rounds. Codeman now keeps timestamped copies of the files that hold your setup (settings, CLI overrides, custom model endpoints, the webhook, linked cases and, in multi-user mode, the accounts). It takes one at startup and another whenever one of those files changes. Under App Settings, System you can pick the folder and how many to keep, compare two backups or a backup with what's running (credentials never show, only whether they changed), and restore one. A restore saves what it's about to replace first, so you can undo it.
Keep the prompt cache warm (opt-in). @JDProfresh: Claude's prompt cache goes cold after an hour of quiet. Turn on Keep the cache warm while idle in a session's Respawn tab (or the default in App Settings, System, Automation) and Codeman sends a tiny keep-alive turn about five minutes before it would expire. It only does that when nothing else is going on, and it stops a couple of hours after your last prompt. Sessions started with it on also launch with Claude Code's own idle compaction off. The keep-alive itself never raises an alert or a push.
A default tab group per case. @aakhter: Case settings has a Default session group, so every new session for that case lands straight in its group instead of Ungrouped.
A File Viewer you can resize, with Back and Forward. @opticon454 again: drag the corner to resize it, Expand fills the screen, and following links between files builds a history you walk with the arrows or Alt+← / Alt+→.
Copilot's quota in the plan-usage chip. Also @opticon454: with Copilot CLI signed in, the header chip shows this month's premium requests. It's on by default like the Codex row, and turning Plan Usage Limits off stops it.
More sessions if you want them. @christianhaberl made the 50-session cap configurable with
CODEMAN_MAX_SESSIONS(1 to 462).Multi-line prompts keep their line breaks. Also @christianhaberl: a multi-line prompt sent through the API with
useMuxnow arrives as real lines, pasted as one block, instead ofline oneline two.Fixes.
