Temporary pastes with an expiry date

I'm trying to use pastehtml at work, but our security policy doesn't allow such tools (even if the ids are impossible to guess). So I was thinking if it's okay if I work on adding temporary pastes with an expiry date where once the date passes, it actually hard-deletes it from the database? That way I can convince people at work to use it haha.

Yeah sure this works. Just one note: You can always ask your agent to encrypt your HTML files before publishing to pastehtml.dev, then you can access the content with a password. I did it in this paste: https://3dgeh7q15hjq520p8v8nnlikftmmulha.pastehtml.dev (password: marvel-1962), but we can have a temp paste for sure.

I don't think the UI needs such a thing, I'm trying to keep the UI easy and simple, but the API can have this option, submitted with the paste creation request (POST) and updated through the update endpoint (PATCH).

This way I think we need to make the content optional in the update endpoint, to allow the agent to update just the expiry date.

On the other hand you can just allow for setting the expiry date without allowing for updates, which will be simpler.

I will leave this decision for you.

Finally, I hope your company will not lawsuit me in the near future 😂
