I'm making a sailing game and I want to simulate the sheet rope with low computation, your project seems to match my needs !
Yet I'm having trouble to stretch correctly the sheet rope. Currently, I set the theoretical length of the rope by script so when the boom is loose the rope should get soft. But when moving fast it seems that the rope get a backward acceleration (but there isn't !), and I didn't set up the wind effect.

Is it possible to have a rope than get totaly straight as soon it reaches its length, and soft when under its length ?
That's how boat's rope should react.
