README visual sources

  • predator-console.png — original Predator engagement terminal image supplied by Aether AI. Preserved byte for byte; Git blob bda259be2c83e711796f5d2b7dac124a1c8e8765. The pictured session and counters are illustrative. The current README and showcase place this unchanged image near the opening with a visible illustration caption.
  • aether-website-mark.svg — original Aether logo extracted from the owner-supplied capture of the defense-stack page. The SVG namespace was added for standalone display.
  • defense-stack-attack-path.svg — the same page’s inline campaign illustration, adapted for a static README with a dark background and readable node/edge contrast. It illustrates the broader operator-led service, not the restricted CLI surface or a measured incident.
  • nano-hex.png — the original Nano website asset, preserved without pixel changes. Git blob b64bdaf656ce6f94d14bd1d084119ab28f17eaea.
  • readme-hero.svg, button-*.svg, workflow-pulse.gif — custom typography and geometric UI assets prepared for this README. The GIF depicts a conceptual workflow; it is not a screen recording, live status, or hardware evidence.
  • generation-roadmap.svg, button-actions.svg, button-generations.svg — custom static vector assets for the owner-approved Gen1–4 public posture. Green denotes the existing assurance foundation; purple denotes active research; cyan denotes the gated roadmap. Arrows illustrate research direction, not achieved depth or advantage. SVGs are self-contained and contain no scripts, external images or embedded fonts.
  • tag-gen12-live.svg, tag-gen3-research.svg, tag-gen4-gated.svg, tag-private-cli.svg — local, self-contained editorial badges replacing externally hosted labels in this README. They describe the product/research posture, not automated CI, deployment or scientific-validation checks.
  • flow-gen12-actions.svg, flow-gen4-transfer.svg — static workflow cards. Gen1–2 depicts the existing locked-action journey; Gen4 is explicitly conditional. The completed CharLS figure uses the versioned filename below; flow-gen3-research.svg remains an identical compatibility copy. Each includes accessible title/description text. No scripts, external images or embedded fonts.

Original website capture and README adaptation: September 9, 2026. The console-first polish preserves the original terminal, hero and historical hardware assets. Website marketing benchmarks and illustrative counters are not combined with the separate September 6 IBM Fez compiler pilot.

September 15 public README revision

  • readme-hero.svg — updated Aether typography and cyan/purple/green geometry. The existing aether-website-mark.svg remains unchanged. The hero is a brand graphic, not a scientific measurement.
  • readme-hardware-data.svg — original vector chart generated from the existing public ibm-pilot.json. Cyan denotes ordinary compilation; purple denotes joint5. All four TV-distance bars share the same 0–0.5 axis. Gate counts and acquisition size come from that public record. The expected-energy regression, one-job scope and absence of independent confirmation remain visible inside the standalone figure.
  • tag-actions-profiles.svg, tag-gen3-private.svg, tag-hardware-pilot.svg — local editorial badges. They do not report live CI, current deployment health or independent scientific validation. The existing tag-gen4-gated.svg remains unchanged.
  • build_readme_assets.py — standard-library generator for the updated hero, hardware chart and three badges. Run python3 docs/assets/build_readme_assets.py from the repository root. It reads the existing public numerical record; it does not execute circuits, query hardware or alter research data.

That initial revision preserved the console, original Aether mark, IBM public numerical data and measurement note byte for byte. Its hardware-first placement is superseded by the Q3 milestone correction below; the console remains supporting illustration.

September 15 Q3 milestone correction

The public README and showcase now lead with Aether Predator’s first Gen3 dependent-repair win: CharLS Q3 24/24, followed by the continuing quantum-advantage objective. The source is the owner-approved aggregate Q3 record and its public evidence note. The note distinguishes the producer’s private signature/replay verification from public arithmetic and figure reproduction.

  • readme-gen3-win.svg — exact aggregate tile count: 16 cyan/blue preserved passes and eight violet new passes. Tile positions are illustrative; they do not expose private case identifiers. Counts represent tests, not vulnerabilities.
  • gen3-charls-q3-completed-d5da033514a9.svg — the completed C0→Q1→C1→Q2→C2→Q3→C3 record, with Q2’s native failure preserved and only the supplied C2/C3 scores. It ends with the continuing program objective. This case is complete; Gen3 is active. The filename includes the first twelve hex characters of the figure’s SHA-256. Every current reader-facing reference uses this content-versioned path instead of the former shared image URL.
  • readme-q2-selection.svg — recorded Aer simulation counts for Q2 only. All bars share a 0–900 sample scale. Purple is the selected feasible state; cyan is the feasible alternative; gray is rejected. Counts and energies are also available in a Markdown table and JSON. This is not a Q3 histogram or hardware measurement.
  • tag-gen3-win.svg, tag-q3-utility.svg, updated tag-gen3-private.svg — static milestone, aggregate outcome and research-continuation badges; not live status.
  • readme-start-actions.svg, readme-start-q3.svg, and q3-showcase.css — original vector/CSS adaptation of the owner-supplied September 15 start-card reference. Retains dark navy, cyan/violet accents and two distinct entry points. Research stats now show Q3’s result; both links go to their specific destination. No remote fonts or scripts are required.
  • build_readme_assets.py — now rebuilds thirteen SVG files (twelve designs plus the versioned chain copy) from the approved Q3 and existing IBM JSON records using only Python’s standard library. It calls no experiment or network service. Run python3 docs/assets/build_readme_assets.py from the repository root. A changed chain produces a different filename; references must be updated and their content hash checked with that revision.

The reader-clarity sweep also restores the full Predator program description and explains C/Q, native validation, protected cases, residuals, QUBO energy and simulator scope. The owner’s screenshot showed an earlier diagram although the merged source already contained the completed one; the distinct image URL addresses that observed source/render mismatch without relying on cache invalidation.

The original Aether mark, IBM numerical record, IBM measurement note and hardware figure are preserved. The IBM study remains a separately labeled experiment; its QPU measurements are not attributed to the simulated CharLS selections.
