Disable Power/Status LED

I don't know if it's possible but are you able to create a script similar to the one that changes the color of the LED, but instead give us the ability to turn it off?
I'm old. When I play at night I have my screen on 4% brightness and that little green/red dot for the power status is blindingly bright for an oldie like me. If you could make this a reality it would really make using these devices a lot more enjoyable for me.

That's something that is not possible with software. I suggest doing a hardware mod, sticker, tape, or anything you can cover it with.
