Event is added or deleted only after refreshing page

After adding "myevent" and going to View Appointments, the event is not shown:

After refreshing the page however, then the event gets displayed:

These same conditions also apply when trying to delete an event. The event gets removed only after refreshing the page.

when you press on view appointments or refresh the new event shows because in the code, you are looking for a currentEvent but when there isn't one it will create one using current users event information giving you Event Stored. so when you refresh page it will look for currentEvent and then display on the page and logging Event already exists

in other words, when you press View Appointments, the code checks for the current users events and will THEN store all those events into MongoDB which is why you won't see those events if you had just created them on the appointment form because they haven't been stored yet. our View Appointments will only display what is currently in the DB. our appointment form only submits the data to the users calendar and creates the event but nothing to our DB. I believe to fix this, we may need to send successfully created event data to the DB first and then it will display in View Appointments when we initially press on it and without having to refresh/reload the page.

issue has been alleviated for now by directing user to appointment success page which is used to submit user data to db first so that it may properly display when user views appointments
