TIM

CoreXZYZ 64mm Bed 3D Printer

TIM Printer

CoreXZYZ/MIR · 2-in-1-out · multi color · 64mm bed · ~$300

TIM is a CoreXZYZ/MIR 3D printer with a 64mm bed, barely enough to print a benchy. It uses a 2-in-1-out hotend, the E3D Cyclops, to keep the toolhead compact and able to fit around the cross rods in the body of the printer. The body of the printer is 200x200x275, including electronics, which can be removed. This printer uses four separate belts to drive the X, Y, and Z axis, in a configuration called CoreXZYZ. It uses two HGX Lite extruders to feed the hotend, making it capable of multi color and color blending. I aim to get this working by RMRRF!

TIM is designed to be small enough to be a personal item on most airlines!! Easy to travel with!!

I designed this for Hack Club Infill showcased it at RMRRF 2026!

Toolhead

TIM Toolhead

TIM's toolhead is made to be printed in one piece. 3 M3x6 bolts secure the hotend to the printed part, and the two graphite brass bushings press fit into the print.

Gantry

TIM Gantry

TIM's gantry is very similar to cross gantry machines, however the belts also power the z travel. Belt clamps connect to the X Y joints and are fed through the bearings to complete a loop. The belts are tensioned with the top plate.
